The Golden State Warriors were partner with Avery products to personalize products in real time at a both during a Warriors game. As part of the product, they gave away a NFC-enabled product that allowed the user to play an instant win game to win discounts on Door Dash delivery.

Open to the first 10,000 fans that entered the arena, the NFC chips inside the "limited edition" patch provided quick and easy touchless engagement by tapping the fan's smartphone to the digitally connected product.

With a 1,000 available $20 DoorDash Gift Cards prize pool and activation before, during and after the game created amazing energy for all the brands involved!

The Games

Our games were simple match games, but with a big twist – we integrated other brands into the process, so the game became a collaboration between Dollar General retail and brands that wanted some extra visibility.

Players could win prizes and discounts right there in the store. The prizes and discounts were stored in their Dollar General accounts on their apps. If a new player did not have an account, they had to sign up to get their prize, which drove a lot of sign-ups, as you might imagine.

Custom Features At-A-Glance

  • The first 10,000 ticketed fans entering Chase Center received the NFC-enabled Statement Edition Patch.
  • The contest was programmed for 24 hours but closed early after reaching the 10,000 registration cap.
  • During a first-quarter timeout, the GSW game MC led a 1:30 minute call-to-action to tap the patch for a chance to win — Registering a spike in entries
  • One-Time-Use (OTU) Coupon winning codes were both delivered on screen and to the registered email

And, of course, the site was highly secure and scaleable.
